Anderson Wines : This has to be one of the most magnificent views in Plett – overlooking Keurbooms Beach, the Robberg Penninsula and the Indian Ocean the vineyard is surrounded by fynbos and indigenous forest. With cool breezes from the ocean, it’s a natural haven for the African Fish Eagle and the famous Knysna Turaco. Their Leto Venus moth emblem comes from the Silverspotted ghost moth found in the bark of the trees found on this farm. It is here in this unique area that the Sauginon Blanc grapes enjoy the cool sea breezes of the Indian Ocean, soft rolling mists and the warmth of the sun. All combining together to ripen these grapes to perfection. The vineyard is situated on the western side of the farm and stretches over 3 hectares. The first bottling was done in 2001 and processed and bottled at Bramon Wine Estates cellar and made by wine maker Anton Smal.
Bitou Vineyards : Situated close to Plettenberg Bay and running along the N2 highway on the one side, bordered by the Bitou River on the other side, this former polo field has transformed into a world class vineyard. Established in 2008 and offering wines typical to cooler climate varietals, Bitou Vineyards planted Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Semillon vines. After successful harvests came successful wines and the future of this vineyard will add to the already highly recognised Plett Wine of Origins.
Bramon Wine Estate : Pioneers of wine growing and being the first wine estate in the Plett area, Bramon have laid the ground work for many wine farms that followed in the Plett Winelands. Since their inception in 2000, this family-owned and run estate have shown much success in their award winning Methodé Cap Classique sparkling wines as well as still wines. Proudly winning many national and international awards, their wines can be tasted at their Tasting Room situated near to the N2.

Originally a Protea farm purchased by former polo icon Chick Legh in 2004, this magnificent property forms an impressive 220 hectare working polo farm and vineyard. With luxury accommodation and immaculate vineyards at the foothills of the mountains, the breath taking views will bowl you over. The wines currently produced include award winning Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their signature “Champu” MCC is the cherry on the cake. A great place for a picnic, romantic getaway or a lively lunch with good friends. The food is beautifully prepared, fresh and full of flavour. The wine will blow your socks off.
Lodestone Wine & Olives : 30-year Plettenberg Bay holiday veterans Ingrid and Jon Tonkin made a decision to move away from the big city of Johannesburg to their favourite spot, and found a beautiful fynbos-covered property to call home. Nestled in the foothills of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, close enough to feel the sea breeze from the Indian Ocean, they established beautiful vineyards of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Rhone-style Pinot Noir. At the same time, they planted an olive orchard using olive trees transplanted and relocated from Elgin. Six varieties of olives have been planted, all which are being used for their olive oil production. Wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, dry Rosé and a new Méthode Cap Classique. A rustic tasting area has been set up in the barn, next door to their tasting room which is currently under construction. Lodestone is a great escape.
Luka Wines : Wedged between the warm Indian Ocean and a dramatic mountain range, you will find Luka Wines, a young boutique wine farm currently hosting 1.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vines. Owners Anneke and Mark Barnard are hands-on and pride themselves on good old fashion care and commitment to their grapes and farm. The farm is uniquely positioned overlooking the Knysna Elephant Park, where guests may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a magnificent elephant while grazing or walking in the fields. The farm is home to resident springbok and a variety of bird species that can be viewed on the verandah as guests enjoy a peaceful wine tasting.

After their first harvest in 2012, with meticulous vineyards and prioritising quality over quanity, Newstead produces award winning wines and MCC bubblies.
Packwood Estate : The adventure began with the idea of a dairy farm. Peter and Vicky Gent emigrated from England, and while on honeymoon they fell in love with a beautiful piece of land called Packwood. The farm started with the introduction of a small herd of just 100 milking cows, and was soon transformed into a beautiful country estate which now is home to 950 very happy Jersey cows and 3.5 hectares of rolling grape vines. Here you will find Vicky, a hands-on wine maker, producing award winning wines and bubbly MCC. This includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Rosé. From the vine to the bottle, sip and savour these hand crafted wines with a rustic farm-style platters at The Lunchbox restaurant. All cheeses are made with milk from the Jersey cows and are served with crisp garden salads, crusty breads, homemade chutneys and preserves. With breath taking views of mountains, indigenous forest and distant ocean, enjoy the journey.

Owner and winemaker Gloria Strack is producing a range of crisp, delicate wines with her 3000 Pinot Noir, 3000 Chardonnay and 350 Syrah vines. Having matured into a fine estate, Plettenvale maintains their focus on a popular Brut Rosé MCC. It’s not unusual to find a gloved Gloria brandishing pruning shears as she proudly and passionately looks after her vines. Plettenvale is uniquely positioned close to the trendy new Dirt Therapy Nursery, where garden treasures mingle with indigenous favourites. Guests will enjoy a visit to this glorious nursery and all its trimmings; followed by a cellar tour, wine tasting and cheese platter lunch.
